Support
Email support@pocketry.app with your macOS version and a short description, and we will help. In the app you can also open Settings → Help → Report a problem, which starts an email with your versions already filled in (nothing you copied is included).
Common questions
Pasting into other apps doesn’t work
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility and turn Pocketry on. If it is already on, switch it off and on again.
The AI menu says it’s unavailable
The summarize, clean-up and translate actions need Apple Intelligence. Turn it on in System Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri, and wait for the model to finish downloading.
Snippets don’t expand when I type
Snippet expansion also needs the Accessibility permission, and it is switched off in password fields by macOS on purpose.
macOS asks for my keychain password
Pocketry keeps the key that encrypts your history in your Keychain. Enter your Mac login password and choose Always Allow. If you choose Deny, your history stays safe on disk and returns after you relaunch the app and allow it.
Screenshot to text does nothing
Press ⌃⌥T and drag over the text. If nothing happens, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and allow Pocketry. Another app may also use the same shortcut.
Nothing new is being saved
Recording may be paused. Right-click the menu bar icon and choose Resume Recording.
Where is my data?
In ~/Library/Application Support/Pocketry, encrypted. Use Settings → Your data → Export to make a readable backup.
